There are some spooky goings on in Richmond this month and we don’t know what to do first!
From a Haunted House tour to a Halloween Horse Drawn Carriage, we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to get involved in all the scary shenanigans this month has to offer!
Are you brave enough to walk around one of the most haunted houses in Britain? If so, throughout October, November and December, Ham House are holding their annual Ghost Hunting tour. Or you could go during the October half term week to take part in a Family Ghost Tour. With previous reports of sightings of dogs, ladies and young men who tragically died in Ham House, one of the 15 ghosts are sure to creep up on you!
Also at Ham House, you can enjoy a trail round the garden and discover more about spooky goings on at the haunted house. Follow your trail sheet round the garden, answering questions and completing activities along the way. The trail is £2 with a prize and suitable for ages 3 and up and will be great fun for all the family!
For those of you who prefer not to have sleepless nights, a romantic evening with your Significant Other may be more up your spider-webbed street, so you may want to know Richmond Park are holding Halloween Horse Drawn Carriage Rides around the picturesque park. It’s sure to be cold in October, so grab a blanket, hot chocolate, snuggle up to your loved one and enjoy one of the most gorgeous and romantic rides in Surrey!
There will be Tales of Terror at The Alligator’s Mouth in Church Court daily between 4pm to 6pm.
Even the plants are at it! Join Kew Gardens from October until 2nd November for their Deadly & Disgusting Plants exhibition – just be sure not to touch the plants, no matter how pretty they look!
No article about Halloween would be complete without a mention of the ultimate Halloween event – Trick or Treat! There is no doubt every parent will be out in force with their little witches, wizards and vampires, so be prepared with lots of chocolate and sweets – you don’t want a wicked trick to ruin your evening!
